The wonder that is The Civil Wars was born only two short years ago (give or take a few months). But if you have had the privilege of hearing this lovely duo in any form, you would think they have been around for much, much longer – musing musical creation since, perhaps, the dawn of time. Both Joy Williams and John Paul White have held careers in the music industry for a over a decade (Joy having huge success in the christian music realm and John Paul having roots in southern rock) which has left them both veterans and masters of their craft. It was their chance meeting at a Nashville song-writing camp that sparked this musical miracle; one that both admit was unlikely event – and one in which I will forever be grateful.
