Earlier this year, The Civil Wars’ management received a call informing them of a new high-profile fan, something the band has already had some experience with. Adele, who as of this week has been towards the top of the Billboard 200 for over three months, has sold just over two million copies of her sophomore record since its release. Adele pegged the Civil Wars as her opening act on a very sold-out run through the East Coast. The venues ranged in size from small clubs to as large as an arena (Montreal’s Air Canada Centre); the range was mostly due to rebookings after Adele’s unexpected meteoric rise.
